On-device Assistant

The Assistant is an optional feature on Android. Ask things like "how much did I spend on dining in August?" and get answers from your own imported numbers. The totals always come from the app's database; the local AI model only helps understand your question and phrase the answer.

Your questions and your financial data never leave your phone. The model runs entirely on the device. The only network use is the one-time model download.

Getting the model

In the app, open the Assistant and tap Download model, then accept the Gemma Terms of Use. The download is large, so use Wi-Fi. If it's interrupted, it resumes where it stopped. You can delete the model any time from Settings.

What it won't do

The Assistant doesn't give financial, tax or investment advice, and it doesn't answer questions unrelated to your data. If a number isn't in your imported statements, it says so instead of guessing.
